AFTER SCHOOL TUTOR & AIDES - 10 Positions
Monday - Friday, 1 hour each day. Hours 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Parks is seeking volunteers with a background in education and the ability to work well with children. This position will require assisting students grades K - 8 with math and reading.

 

SPECIAL EVENT ASSISTANTS - 2 Positions
Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, 3 to 4 hours depending on the event. Flexible hours.
Parks need volunteers to help setup for events, serve refreshments. One-time, Short-term or Ongoing opportunities.

 

CLERICAL ASSISTANCE - 2 Positions
Monday - Friday 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Flexible hours (1 to 40 hours a week).
Glass Center needs volunteers that can help with office clerical work, answering phones, greeting visitors, and other assigned duties.

 

GOODMAN MUSEUM WELCOME CENTER - 1 Position  

Tuesday-Thursday & some Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.     
The Goodman Museum is in need of a volunteer to assist in greeting and signing in visitors and answering the phone at the welcome center. Volunteer also will help with light cleaning of the heirloom displays and the facility. Must be great with people, have a desire to learn the history of the house, and knowledge of the Tyler area is a plus.        

 

GOODMAN MUSEUM SPECIAL PROJECTS - 1 Position   

Monday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.                                                          
The Goodman Museum is in need of a volunteer to create a digital inventory of the museum’s heirlooms and artifacts and to assist with special projects to create new displays. Volunteer may also help with light cleaning of the heirloom displays and the facility. Must be detail oriented, able to work a digital camera and have basic computer skills, and be able to handle the museum’s belongings with care.
