It is illegal to place, blow or rake leaves, other yard waste or trimmings into an unapproved solid
waste site. It is illegal to place, blow or rake leaves into a right-of-way, street, alley or storm drain.

Penalty Range:

	•	Up to 5 lbs. (or 5 gallons) = Class C Misdemeanor;
	•	5lbs. To 500 lbs (or 5 gallons to 100 cubic feet) = Class B Misdemeanor;
	•	500 lbs. To 1000 lbs (or 100 to 200 cubic feet) = Class A Misdemeanor;
	•	Over 1000 lbs (or 200 cubic feet)  = State Jail Felony.

Note: If the above offense is done by a commercial yard company the offense may be upgraded.
