Short Term Disability

Short-Term and Long-Term Disability

The City will pay the full premium for regular full time employees to have a short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees will not be required to share premium cost.

  • In cases of extended illnesses, over seven days, short-term disability will provide 60% of an employees salary up to $1,200 per week for 26 weeks.
  • In cases of total disability, after six (6) months, long-term disability will provide 60% of an employees salary up to $6,500 per month before reduction by Benefit Offsets, up to the age of 65.
