VOLUNTEER EVENT COORDINATOR NEEDED

The City of Tyler Solid Waste/Recycling Department is looking for a VOLUNTEER EVENT COORDINATOR for our MOBILE RECYLING UNIT.

The event coordinator is needed to utilize the mobile recycling unit and to find interested agencies and businesses that are willing to showcase the unit at an event.  They would also educate the public by manning the unit and providing materials about the City of Tyler Solid Waste/Recycling Department.

The goal of the event coordinator is to spread the venues to all sides of the city by being aware of the goings on in the city such as marathons, fairs and festivals.  The venue can be a private place such as a church or a public place like a park or business.

A volunteer must man the unit at all times.  Events are scheduled for a two hour time frame.  An event during the week would be scheduled during city business hours and an event on Saturday would be scheduled between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.  There are no events scheduled on Sunday.

We are also looking for volunteers to help man our Recycle Center located at 418 N. Bois D'Arc Ave.

If you are interested in either of these positions, please contact Yolanda Prince, Volunteer Coordinator, Volunteer Tyler at 903-531-1100 or email her at VolunteerTyler@tylertexas.com.
