DATA MANAGEMENT - Multiple Positions
Once a week for 2+ hours
Assist data management with filing, purging, updating case files, copying, and shredding police records. Must be detailed oriented, able to accurately file in numeric order, and stand for 2+ hours. Occasional heavy lifting may be required.
SPECIAL PROJECT-1 Position Open
4-6 hours per week; Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday; any time between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A volunteer is needed to assist data management with going through 30 boxes of old property sheets, organizing stacks by year, and then placing them in boxes already established for that year. Must be able to put files in order by year and lift boxes.
ACCESSIBLE PARKING ENFORCEMENT - 3 Positions
Schedule varies, minimum four hours per month
Volunteer will assume responsibility of issuing citations to violators of accessible parking spaces, in accordance with the City of Tyler Code of Ordinances set forth by the Americans With Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines.

CITIZENS ON PATROL – Multiple Positions Open
The Citizens On Patrol program recruits volunteers interested in actively patrolling their own neighborhoods for the purpose of observing and reporting suspicious, criminal or potentially dangerous activity.
PAWN TICKET DATA ENTRY – 1 Position Open
Monday – Thursday, flexible hours
The Tyler Police Department is seeking a volunteer to review and enter pawn tickets into a database. Must have basic computer skills, be trustworthy with confidential information, and be detailed oriented.
FLEET SERVICES VEHICLE COURIER – 2 Positions Open
Tuesday and/or Wednesday, 2-4 hours per week
The Fleet Services Department is in need of a vehicle courier. This individual will be required to pick up and deliver police vehicles for repair.
