City holiday schedule

City Offices will be closed on the following day:

Sept. 1

Labor  Day

Closed

Holiday Trash Collection
The Tyler Solid Waste office will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1. Due to the holiday, citizens whose trash is normally collected on Monday will have their trash collected on Tuesday. Routes normally collected on Tuesday will be collected on Wednesday. Trash will be collected on regularly scheduled days both Thursday and Friday.

Monday, 9/1: No Collection
Tuesday, 9/2: Routes Normally Collected Monday
Wednesday, 9/3: Routes normally collected Tuesday
Thursday, 9/4: Regular Collection
Friday, 9/5: Regular Collection

Tyler Pounds Regional Airport
Tyler Pounds Regional Airport will be open through the holiday. The airport administrative offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1.  Customers should contact their airline for special holiday travel schedules.

Tyler Public Library
Tyler Public Library will be closed on Sunday, Aug. 31 and Monday, Sept. 1. The Library will resume normal hours on Tuesday, Sept. 2.


Tyler Transit Schedule
The Tyler Transit offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1.  Due to the Labor Day holiday, there will be no service on Monday, Sept. 1. Normal office hours and service will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 2.


Tyler Water Utilities
The Tyler Water Utilities Business Office will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1. Anyone wishing to make a payment on this date can place a payment into one of the two available drop boxes. There is one box located in front of the office at 511 Locust St. and a drive-up box in the Brookshire's parking lot on the corner of South Broadway Avenue and Rice Road. The payment will be credited on the next business day. Do not drop cash into these boxes.

Payments may also be made online at cityoftyler.org or at one of many businesses in Tyler.  Please see the website for a list of businesses which collect payments.
