Flower Market welcomes entries

by Heather Newman - February 08, 2010

Online entry forms are now available for those interested in being vendors at the Fourth Annual Main Street Flower Market, set for March 26-27 on the grounds of the Goodman-LeGrand Museum in downtown Tyler.

“The Flower Market, a project of the City of Tyler’s Main Street Department, offers the public a chance to enjoy the historic setting of the Goodman-LeGrand Museum while browsing for items for their gardens,” said Main Street Director Beverly Abell.

“This event is designed to coincide with the Azalea Trail,” Abell said. “The volunteers who created the Flower Market wanted to offer Azalea Trail visitors the opportunity to also enjoy the beautiful historic sites offered by downtown Tyler. The perfect answer was creating a flower market to highlight Tyler’s natural and historic beauty.”

Several vendors have already signed up for this year’s show. Items anticipated at the event include roses, azaleas, trees and shrubs of many varieties, bedding plants, exotic plants, pottery and more.

Vendor forms are available by going to www.heartoftyler.com and clicking on the Flower Market logo, or by calling (903)593-6905. Vendor participation in the market is limited to vendors who sell garden-oriented items.
