This Week at the Library

The Tyler Public Library, 201 S. College Ave., offers quality programming for the entire family. Activities the week of Sunday, March 23 through Saturday, March 29 include:

Tuesday, March 25
Club Read is a monthly book discussion for adults.  This month the group will discuss Suite Francais by Irene Nemerovsky.  Club Read meets in the Second Floor Atrium at 10 a.m.  This event is free and no registration is required.

Wednesday, March 26 and Thursday, March 27
Read Aloud Crowd offers books, stories and a simple craft for preschoolers.  The theme this week is Let’s Go Fly A Kite! The event starts at 10:30 a.m. and is located in the Storyroom.  Registration is only required for groups.

Thursday, March 27
Afterschool Rules (for children grades K-5)  will feature reading games, activities, crafts and read-aloud time with teen reading buddies beginning at 3:30 p.m. in the Storyroom.  This event is free and registration is required only for groups.

Ongoing Exhibits: March 3 – 31
Tyler in Photographs provided by the Smith County Historical Society.  The exhibit will be located on the first floor atrium and is available for viewing from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

75th Anniversary of the Tyler Woman’s Building.  The exhibit will be located on the second floor atrium and is available for viewing from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
