Tyler Public Library brings editor and author Frances Whiteside to conduct an interactive workshop designed to help writers and aspiring writers in all genres sharpen their editing skills. “Right Well: Strict Self-Editing” is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. in the Library Auditorium, 201 S College, downtown Tyler.
Whiteside has worked as a freelance editor for over 10 years, editing memoirs, how-to-books, technical manuals and textbooks. She has written for many professional journals and was editor of the National Paralegal Report for over four years. Her program is part of the regular monthly meeting of the Texas Writers’ Network at the Library and will be followed by an opportunity for writers to share their work for critique and feedback.
The informal gathering for adults and teens generally meets on the second Sunday of each month at the Library from 2-4:30 p.m. The writing workshop is free and open to the public. For more information, call (903) 593-7323 or email programs@tylertexas.com.
