Tyler Investigators have secured an arrest warrant for Zechariah Aacon Smith, B/M, 12/19/1997, of Tyler.  He is charged with Deadly Conduct a 3rd degree felony, bond was set at $75,000.  Smith was the person responsible for firing seven shots into the residence of 1307 W. Queen Street around 8:00 p.m. on Thursday night.

Tyler Police request your help in locating Smith.  Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Smith are urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833).  Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest of Smith.

Tyler Police Investigate Shots Fired Call 

On Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 7:58 p.m., Tyler Police responded to 1307 West Queen Street in reference to a report of several shots fired at the residence that was found to be unoccupied.   The owners of the residence showed up at the same time of officers and advised them that he knows who the suspect is and that the incident is related to an earlier disturbance in the park between the two.

Investigators responded to the scene to recover evidence and talk to potential witnesses.  No one was injured and no arrest have been made at this time.  This case remains under investigation.
