Enhanced Community Outreach Program

October 31, 2017

Tyler Police Department
Enhanced Community Outreach Program

On Friday, November 3, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  The Tyler Police Department will be going door to door introducing ourselves and reaching out to citizens to ask what we can do for them.

This outreach program is one of many community police programs that we conduct to become closer to our community and address problems that the residents may have in their specific neighborhood.

The Police Department will be addressing concerns such as criminal activity in the area, traffic issues, abandoned vehicles, and code enforcement property concerns.  If a concern is brought to our attention that would involve another city department, we would assist them with informing the city department responsible for addressing the issue.

Chief Toler said “It is our hope to continue to develop relationships and helping others. Reaching out to a small area will allow us to identify and address immediate concerns.”

Novembers Community Outreach Program will include the small section of the northeast section of the City, streets identified below:

1. Summit Ave.
2. Central Ave.
3. Olive Street.
4. E. Hillsboro Street.
5. E. Laurel Street.
6. E. Vance Street.
