Purchasing

The purpose of Purchasing is to provide the City of Tyler departments with standard procedures for obtaining goods & services that comply with generally accepted purchasing procedures and State of Texas purchasing law.

It is the policy of the City of Tyler that the highest quality goods and services will be acquired for the lowest possible price. Purchasing is charged with establishing procedures and controls in the purchasing process to comply with all applicable purchasing laws and regulations. City procurement practices must conform to requirements as set out in the City Charter, City Code, and State Law.

If you would like your company’s name to be placed on the Official City of Tyler Vendor/Bid List, you must complete and submit the following application. The City of Tyler will accept bids and/or proposals for the following projects, services, and/or supplies in the Office of Tyler Water Utilities, 511 West Locust, Tyler, Texas 75702, ATTN: Greg Morgan, until 2:00 p.m. on the specified opening dates & for the items shown below, at which time they will be publicly opened by City Staff in the Tyler Development Center Large Conference Room, 423 West Ferguson, Tyler, Texas 75702. All interested persons may attend.
