Tyler's Famous Red Brick Streets

A lot of detail went into setting the brick streets by hand one brick at a time.  Did you know the original red brick streets were black?  A coat of oil and tar was spread across to place a seal on the bricks.  In time the tar wore off exposing the beautiful red bricks we see today.

In the video presentation you will see some of Tyler's historic structures now long gone.  One example you'll see a glimpse of the former courthouse clock tower just to the left of the People's Petroleum Building.  Sit back, relax,  let your mind travel back in time as you watch the raw video footage of Tyler that once was.
