Assistant City Attorney, Regina Y. Moss began her employment with the City of Tyler on May 15, 2017. She is a native New Mexican, born and raised in Albuquerque; however, she has called Texas home since 2012. Ms. Moss is admitted to practice in both Texas and New Mexico and she is a member of the Smith County Bar Association, Texas City Attorneys Association, Texas Municipal League and the International Municipal Lawyers Association.
Her current primary department clients and responsibilities are CIP and 3-Way Contracts, City University and Lean Sigma, Code Enforcement, Engineering, Liberty Hall and Main Street, Library, Parks, Public Information and Attorney General Opinion requests, Property and Claims, and Vehicle Services. Prior to working for the City of Tyler Ms. Moss served as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Amarillo, Texas. She also has extensive federal practice and civil litigation defense experience with a broad practice history representing both private and government entities in matters involving civil rights, premises liability, tort law, public employment law, contracts and procurement.
Ms. Moss earned her law degree from Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C. in 2002. She obtained her Bachelors of Arts Degree from the University of New Mexico with a Political Science major and a Communications minor in 1998.
