Tyler Solid Waste will be handling HOLIDAY pick-ups a little differently.
In the past, when there was a holiday, we have shifted the days of residential garbage pick-up, causing confusion as to when the day of service would be. Because of this confusion, drivers were driving their routes without servicing many of their customers.
To lessen this uncertainty, the Solid Waste Department will utilize a once per week pick-up schedule during the holiday weeks for all customers.
DURING HOLIDAY WEEKS ONLY, ONCE PER WEEK PICK UP WILL TAKE PLACE.
You should have received a HOLIDAY calendar for GARBAGE, and if you have recycling, you should have received a separate HOLIDAY calendar for RECYCLING.
