Volunteer Tyler Application Process

Thank you for your interest in becoming a City of Tyler Volunteer!  The minimum age to volunteer for the City of Tyler is 12 years old.  The application process can be completed in three easy steps:
  1. Search open positions by visiting Volunteer Opportunities
  2. Download and complete application (see below for applications)
  3. Submit completed application (for 18+ include a copy of your government issued photo identification) to Volunteer Tyler by one of the methods listed below:

    - In Person or by mail: City Hall, 212 N. Bonner Ave., Tyler, TX, 75702

If you do not see a position open that you are interested in do not let that stop you from applying.  You may submit your application which will remain on file.   You may follow-up at any time to check on the status of your application or check the website to see if a position has opened up in which you are interested to volunteer your time.

Please note that ADULT (18+) applications submitted without a copy of government issued photo identification will not be accepted.  Background checks are conducted on all adult volunteer applicants.
