Summer Feeding Program


 The Tyler Parks and Recreation Department along with East Texas Food Bank will be hosting a Summer Feeding Program at various city parks. The program will begin on Monday, June 1 and continues through Friday, Aug. 7.  The program ensures that children will continue to receive nutritious meals during the summer.

Each location will provide lunch Monday through Friday, along with a weekly activity kit for kids to enjoy given out on Mondays. Glass Recreation Center will be also serving breakfast. Breakfast will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and lunch from noon to 1 p.m. The program is free to those 18 years old and under.


Park locations:

  • Glass Recreation Center, 501 W. 32nd St. - Breakfast and Lunch
  • Gassaway Park, 2921 Martha St. - Lunch
  • W.E. Winters Park, 910 S. Peach Ave. - Lunch



  • Breakfast: 9 - 10 a.m.
  • Lunch: 12 - 1 p.m.
