Youth Programs 

Art 4 Fun Program | Dec. 18 at 5:30 p.m. | Makerspace 

For grades 3 and up: sign up at TylerLibrary.com to attend and decorate ceramic coasters to keep or gift ! Registration is required. 

 

Open Makerspace | Dec. 19 from 2 to 3:00 p.m. | Come-and-go | Makerspace 

For kids of all ages | stop by to make crafts, create art, and play games. 

 

Storytime | Auditorium 

For babies to preschoolers: listen to stories read aloud, sing songs, and enjoy playtime, sensory play, and crafts. There will be no storytime programs on December 23-25 and December 30 - January 1. 

 

  • Baby Storytime: Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. 

    Toddler Storytime: Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. 

    Preschool Storytime: Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. 

 

Special Classical Music Storytime | Dec. 5 at 10:30 a.m. | Auditorium 

Families are invited to enjoy a magical blend of storytelling and classical music. Children will experience engaging tales brought to life with beautiful melodies, interactive moments, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Perfect for young listeners and caregivers alike! 

 

Dungeons and Dragons Club | First and Third Tuesday at 5 p.m. | Auditorium 

For grades 8-12: tweens and teens can sign up at TylerLibrary.com to join the quest. 

 

STEM Club with Code Ninjas | Dec. 6 at 3 p.m. | Makerspace 

For kids K-12: Join us for fun with Code Ninjas. The theme this season is patterns and sequences.  

 

Lego Block Party | Dec.11 from 5 p.m.- 6:45 p.m. and Dec. 30 at 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Auditorium 

For kids ages 7 to 18: Join us for free play! No registration is required.  

 

Star Party | Dec.15 from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.  

This event, in partnership with the Astronomical Society of East Texas, is suitable for all ages, including children and adults.  

 

Winter Oil Pastel Art | Dec. 9 at 5:30 p.m. | Makerspace 

For ages K-12: Join us as we express ourselves through art using oil pastels to create winter scenes.  

 


Adult Activities 

 

Try It Tuesdays | Dec. 9 at 5:30 p.m. | Makerspace 

Adults can try out new skills and hobbies! On Dec. 9, sign up at TylerLibrary.com to make a Crafty Christmas Ornament. 

 

Horror Book Club | Dec. 1 at 5:30 p.m. | Makerspace 

Join us to discuss this month’s read, Krampus: The Yule Lord by Brom. 

 

Wellness Wednesday | Dec. 17 at 10:30 a.m. | Makerspace 

For Adults: Identity theft prevention with Altra Federal Credit Union.  

 

Adult Dungeons and Dragons Club | Dec. 6 and 20 at 2 p.m. | Makerspace 

For adults: Join us on a quest like no other! Registration is now full, but a waitlist is available. Sign up at TylerLibrary.com to join the quest. 

 

Stitchcraft Society | First and Third Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. | Makerspace 

Come with your needlework supplies and stitch while meeting fellow Library enthusiasts! An optional portion will be to read a cozy mystery each month and share your thoughts on it. Please note that the Library cannot store supplies or projects from this program. Patrons will have to bring and take home their supplies. 

 

Wildflower Poetry Society | Dec.11 at 2 p.m. | Makerspace 

For Adults: Share and connect with fellow poets.  

 

East Texas Genealogical Society | Second Saturday at 2 p.m. | Auditorium 

Check out the East Texas Genealogical Society for all who love history and genealogy. 

 

Open Door Writing Group | Wednesday at 1 p.m. | Makerspace 

Are you a writer? The best way to hone your craft is to work with fellow scribes, and the best place to do that is at your local library. Join our Open Door Writing Group as they share their work, discuss the writing process, and offer advice. There will be no program on Dec. 25.
