Keep Tyler Beautiful (KTyB) invites the community to join the Great Tyler Cleanup on Saturday, April 11, from 9 a.m. to noon at Southside Park, located at 455 Shiloh Road. Check-in begins at 8 a.m., with pre-registered volunteers receiving free event t-shirts.
This annual event is part of Keep America Beautiful’s Greatest American Cleanup, a nationwide initiative that inspires communities to create cleaner, greener, and more beautiful places to live. In 2026, the campaign also serves as a meaningful way to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States, encouraging Americans to honor this milestone through service, civic pride, and environmental stewardship.
Locally, the Great Tyler Cleanup invites residents to beautify Tyler by removing litter and enhancing public spaces. Families, friends, community groups and individuals are all encouraged to participate in this hands-on effort to make a lasting impact in their community while celebrating America’s legacy.
“Volunteers play a huge role in keeping Tyler clean and vibrant,” said Casey Turner, KTyB Community Coordinator. “The Great Tyler Cleanup is a fun, hands-on way for residents to give back to their community and make a visible impact.”
Volunteers are encouraged to bring water, a positive attitude and weather-appropriate clothing. Families and youth groups are welcome, and all participants will help make Tyler a cleaner, greener city.
