Beauty and the Box program wraps three new boxes
The City of Tyler’s Beauty and the Box program is a beautification program that began in 2016 to take utilitarian traffic boxes and transform them into beautiful works of art by local artists. What started as a pilot program of ten boxes in the Downtown Business Arts and Culture District has grown to 36 vinyl-wrapped boxes all across the City of Tyler.
The following traffic signal boxes have recently been sponsored and wrapped:
• South Broadway Avenue and Amherst Drive: sponsored by The Alzheimer’s Alliance of Smith County, artwork by April Moore.
• Ferguson Street and Bois D’Arc Avenue: sponsored by Edward Broussard, artwork by Linda Schooley.
• S SW Loop 323 and Briarwood Road: sponsored by Linda Davidson, artwork by Linda Davidson.
