Author visiting Library who takes on big questions from young children
The topic of miscarriage is a hard one for adults to address and even harder for children to understand. Local author Alma Ravenell tackles how children come to terms with the loss of life in her first book, “Our Baby.” In promoting the book, she will appear at the Tyler Public Library for a book signing on March 23 from 3 to 5:30 p.m.
“I have had a spirit to write since I was nine years old,” shared Ravenell. “At that age, I wrote a book about a little girl named ‘Uganda,’ and I have plans to restore that book soon.”
“Our Baby” purposes to help families begin the healing process who have lost an expected baby. This is the first of many planned books in the series ‘Little Ones with BIG Questions.’
Tyler Public Library is located at 201 S. College in Downtown Tyler. More information about this event can be found on the Library website at or by calling (903) 593-7323
