Parent-Child Workshop Series

You are your child’s first teacher, and the library is here to support you in that role!

The Parent-Child Workshop is a five-week program geared for children age 0-3 years and their parents or caregiver. Each weekly session is one-hour long and is a fun, play-based program that provides a rich environment of toys, books, and art activities. Families have the opportunity to spend time together, make new friends, and talk one-on-one with a different community resource professional each week.

Community resource professionals are specialists in one of the following areas: early childhood literacy, early childhood development, nutrition, speech, hearing, or music and movement. An official schedule of specialists will be provided closer to the date of the first session.

This Parent-Child workshop will also be bilingual, featuring community resource professionals who speak both English and Spanish as well as assistance from bilingual library staff members.
