Geared for 8th-12th grade, teen programs feature activities, games, and projects for teens to learn, socialize, and have fun. Programs take place on the second Tuesday of every month at 5 p.m.
There is not a teen program during March.
Teen Advisory Council
The TAC is a group council for 8th-12th graders. Teens on the council will help brainstorm program ideas, discuss library services and resources for teens, and help make the library a great place for teens. Council meetings take place on the second Tuesday of every month at 4:30 p.m.
Teens on the council are eligible to earn volunteer credit hours. Apply to become a Youth Volunteer on the City of Tyler’s Volunteer Services page.
There is not a TAC meeting during March.
Youth volunteers help the library and staff in many ways, including, but not limited to, program setup and cleanup, monitoring programs, counting attendance, writing book reviews, and more. To be a youth volunteer for the Tyler Public Library, you must be at least 12 years of age and have a completed volunteer application on file with the City of Tyler and the library.

Signup to Volunteer
Once you are approved to be a volunteer, you will receive an invitation to join SignUp Genius. All volunteer opportunities at the library will be made available through SignUp Genius by visiting the current month’s signup page.
