All City of Tyler parks and trails are currently open during regular hours. We will continue to evaluate the situation daily and make changes as necessary. When visiting the parks and trails, please follow all current local, state and federal guidelines relating to Coronavirus (COVID-19) including, but not limited to, social distancing, gathering limitations, and hand washing.

All Public Restrooms
Restrooms at all parks and outdoor Parks and Recreation facilities are currently closed in accordance with current CDC guidelines. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
Herndon Hills Playground - Slide

Description: Closed for Repairs. Parts of the playground equipment have been roped off due to vandalism damage.
Southside Park Playground
Date of Closure: March 2020 - TBA
Description: Closed for Repairs. Southside Park will be closed due to safety reasons and for repairs starting March 4. A fence will be set around the perimeter as soon as the weather allows. The Parks and Recreation Department will be meeting today with the contractor that originally built the playground to discuss further actions.
Faulkner Park Trail Bridges
Date of Closure: April 2019 - TBA
Description: Closed for Repairs. A reflective barrier has been placed at the bridge that crosses West Mud Creek at Faulkner Park. The City of Tyler’s Parks and Recreation department advises trail users to use caution and to avoid crossing all bridges at the Faulkner Park trails. We ask trail users to not ignore or cross the barriers and barricades. All other trails at Faulkner Park are open and available for use.
All Splashpads and Pool
Date of Closure: August 2019 - Summer 2020
Description: Bergfeld and Fun Forest Splashpads closed until further notice. Fun Forest Pool to open in June. For more information, visit the Pools & Splashpad page.
