With the confirmation of Coronavirus cases in Tyler from the Northeast Texas Public Health District (NET Health) and in an abundance of caution, all City facilities will be closed to the public until further notice. This includes the Tyler Senior Center, Glass Recreation Center, Harvey Convention Center, Goodman Museum, and Rose Garden Center.

The City of Tyler Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of services and activities to residents and visitors. We maintain 30 parks, which offer organized and open areas for recreation, enjoying a picnic, listening to music, fishing and children’s play. We also have more than 10 miles of trails winding through Tyler and are suited for a variety of activities including walking, cycling, hiking and running.
Community residents and visitors alike also enjoy the use of Harvey Recreation Center, Tyler Rose Garden, Goodman-LeGrand Museum & Gardens, Tyler Senior Center and Glass Recreation Center, which are utilized for planned group programs and classes, birthdays, baby showers, community meetings and their various amenities.
