Thank you for your interest in becoming a City of Tyler Volunteer! The minimum age to volunteer for the City of Tyler is 12 years old. The application process can be completed in three easy steps:
- Search open positions by visiting Volunteer Opportunities
- Download and complete application (see below for applications)
- Submit completed application (for 18+ include a copy of your government issued photo identification) to Volunteer Tyler by one of the methods listed below:

If you do not see a position open that you are interested in do not let that stop you from applying. You may submit your application which will remain on file. You may follow-up at any time to check on the status of your application or check the website to see if a position has opened up in which you are interested to volunteer your time.

Please note that ADULT (18+) applications submitted without a copy of government issued photo identification will not be accepted. Background checks are conducted on all adult volunteer applicants.
Once your application is received by Volunteer Tyler it will be reviewed for possible matches based on your interests and qualifications.
