Movies in the Park Returns for Spring Season
Join in the fourteenth spring season of the Tyler Parks and Recreation’s Movies in the Park series, recognized locally as a budget-wise, family-friendly way to enjoy pleasant spring evenings in Bergfeld Park’s amphitheater and Centene Stage on a 24’x14.5’ screen.
The film line-up for the new spring season includes:
May 31 at 8 p.m. - “Cinderella” The 2015 Disney film starring Lily James and Cate Blanchett tells the story of an orphan who falls in love with a prince after enduring great abuse from her stepmom and stepsisters. Rated PG. Unfortunately, due to possible thunder storms on Saturday, this movie in the park will be rescheduled to Friday, May 31.
April 27 at 8 p.m. – “Beauty and the Beast” The 2017 Disney live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience. “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within. Rated PG
May 4 at 8 p.m. – “Christopher Robin” (2018) Winnie the Pooh ventures into London to turn a middle-aged Christopher Robin's life around with the help of Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger. Robin is now stuck in an oppressive white collar job that prevents him from spending time with his family. Rated PG
May 11 at 8 p.m. – “The Parent Trap” (1961) Identical twins change places to reunite their divorced parents after they meet at summer camp for the first time and discover they were separated at an early age. Hayley Mills plays twins Susan and Sharon. Rated G
