North College Avenue and West Erwin Street changes:
What: Beginning Monday, June 1, the intersection of North College Avenue and West Erwin Street is scheduled to reopen as part of the Downtown Improvement Project. This will restore a major connection for drivers in Downtown Tyler.
Once the intersection opens, both North College Avenue and West Erwin Street in that area will operate as two-way streets. Drivers heading northbound on North Broadway Avenue will be able to turn left onto West Erwin Street. Drivers are encouraged to exercise caution at the intersection due to the new traffic patterns.
North College Avenue will operate as a two-way street from West Ferguson Avenue to West Front Street. West Erwin Street will operate as a two-way street from Bois D’Arc Avenue to North College Avenue.
The intersections of North College Avenue and West Erwin Street, North College Avenue and Elm Street, and West Erwin Street and Bois D’Arc Avenue will all operate as four-way stops.

West Ferguson Street changes:
What: Beginning Monday, June 1, West Ferguson Street from North Bois D’Arc Avenue to North Bonner Avenue will be converted to two-way traffic. Drivers should watch for updated striping, signage, and new traffic directions throughout the area.
No on-street parking will be allowed on the south side of West Ferguson Street from South Bois D’Arc Avenue to North Bonner Avenue. Parking will only be allowed in designated spots on the north side of the streeet.
The intersection of West Ferguson Street and North Bois D’Arc Avenue will operate as a four-way stop.
The intersection of West Ferguson Street and North Bonner Avenue will operate as a two-way stop, with North Bonner Street controlled by stop signs. Drivers should exercise caution due to this change in traffic control.
As part of this next phase of construction, West Ferguson Street will close from North Broadway Avenue to North College Avenue. North College Avenue will close at West Ferguson Street, but will remain open to two-way traffic up to that point to maintain access to the area and street parking.
Parking on North Broadway Avenue from West Ferguson Street to West Erwin Street will be closed for infrastructure updates, but there are no planned lane closures.
