Two nights, one big screen at the 2026 Tyler Film Festival

For two nights this September, Liberty Hall will become a showcase for emerging voices, unexpected stories, and independent filmmaking as the 2026 Tyler Film Festival, presented by Dobbs & Porter, takes over the big screen Friday, Sept. 18, and Saturday, Sept. 19.

Screenings begin at 7 p.m. each night, featuring student and independent short films from Texas and around the world. Festivalgoers will experience a mix of genres and styles, along with opportunities to hear directly from filmmakers, cast, and crew members during Q&A sessions following select screenings.

A 2-Day Pass is $30 and includes admission to both nights of the festival, along with early entry beginning at 6 p.m. each night. Single-day tickets are available for $20, with entry beginning at 6:30 p.m.

This year’s lineup features short films running no longer than 20 minutes. The full 2026 Tyler Film Festival program is available online, where audiences can browse the lineup, read film descriptions, and learn more about the festival before arriving at Liberty Hall.

The festival will conclude Saturday evening with the awards ceremony recognizing this year’s winning films.

Some films feature mature content. Parents are encouraged to use discretion and review the festival program for information about individual films.
